I have a 716 and a pre ban M1A scout?( I think they called it a tanker version back then). It came with the folding stock in the pic. It is longer than the 716 with the stock unfolded. It has been very reliable and fed all types of ammo without any issues. The bolt is an old proven design. It needs very little cleaning/ maint.
